Speaker Jon Burns announces appointments to health coverage commission

ATLANTA – Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced the House appointments to the Comprehensive Health Coverage Commission today. This commission was established by legislation adopted during the 2024 session of the Georgia General Assembly.

The appointed members are Ms. Pam Clayton, Vice President of Quality Advancement and Regulatory Affairs at GHCA; Dr. Sid Moore, an ophthalmologist; Dr. John Odum, a general surgery specialist; and Dr. Delvecchio Finley, President and CEO of Atrium Health Navicent.

House Bill 1339 created the Comprehensive Health Coverage Commission to examine access and quality of healthcare for Georgia’s low-income and uninsured populations. The commission will make recommendations on improving healthcare access across the state.
