Weather permitting, contractors from the Georgia Department of Transportation will implement lane closures on I-285 eastbound and westbound, as well as SR 400 northbound and southbound. These closures are scheduled for construction activities and may result in travel delays, reduced speeds, and detours.
The construction impacts will be in effect from February 24 through March 3, 2025. Overnight closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning with one right lane on Peachtree Dunwoody Road both northbound and southbound at I-285 on Monday, February 24.
On Tuesday, February 25, similar closures will continue on Peachtree Dunwoody Road. For motorists traveling from Roswell Road to I-285 eastbound, a detour is advised via I-285 westbound and Exit 24 Riverside Drive to access I-285 eastbound.
Wednesday's schedule includes one right lane closure on Glenridge Drive northbound and southbound at I-285. A full closure of Abernathy Road requires specific detours: Motorists should use Mercedes-Benz Drive (which changes to Barfield Road), Mount Vernon Highway, and Peachtree Dunwoody Road to navigate around the closure.
Thursday’s plan mirrors Wednesday's with continued closures on Glenridge Drive. Detours remain the same for those navigating Abernathy Road.
On Friday night into Saturday morning, SR 400 southbound travelers heading towards Glenridge Connector should use Exit 2 Lenox Road and then SR 400 northbound to reach Exit 3 Glenridge Connector.
Construction dates may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers are advised to reduce speed in work zones and remain vigilant for workers.
