The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced a series of lane closures and detours related to the I-85 at SR 42/North Druid Hills Road project in DeKalb County. The scheduled closures aim to facilitate ongoing construction work in the area.

Starting from Saturday, March 29, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., one right lane on the I-85 northbound Frontage Road will be closed from SR 42/North Druid Hills Road to Cliff Valley Way.

Overnight closures are planned from Friday, March 21, at 8 p.m. until Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. These include one left lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound from Executive Park Drive to Briarcliff Road, pacing at the intersection of SR 42/North Druid Hills Road and I-85 northbound, as well as one right lane on I-85 southbound at SR 42/North Druid Hills Road.

Additional closures involve the I-85 southbound off-ramp to SR 42/North Druid Hills Road ending Saturday. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route via Lenox Road (Exit 88) for access.

From Monday, March 24, at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, March 25, at 6 a.m., one right lane on I-85 southbound at SR 42/North Druid Hills Road will be closed. Further closures extend through Friday, March 28.

Motorists should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through these areas. Real-time traffic information is available by calling 511 or visiting the Georgia Department of Transportation's website.
