President Donald J. Trump has appointed Georgia State Senator Brandon Beach as the new Treasurer of the United States. Beach, who represents the 21st Senate District in Georgia and serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism, expressed his gratitude for this significant opportunity.

This appointment marks a significant milestone, as Beach will be the first Georgian to hold the position of U.S. Treasurer. The role carries responsibilities such as overseeing the U.S. Mint and Fort Knox and acting as a liaison to the Federal Reserve.
