Georgia Senate committee to discuss corrections facility issues

The Senate Department of Corrections Facilities Study Committee will hold its fourth meeting on Friday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m. The committee is chaired by Majority Whip Sen. Randy Robertson (R–Cataula). The meeting will take place at the State Capitol located at 450 State Capitol, 206 Washington Street, Atlanta, GA.

The event is open to the public and will be live-streamed on the Senate website. The committee was established to examine issues affecting the Georgia Department of Corrections' ability to maintain secure and safe facilities. It aims to determine if legislative measures are needed for the welfare of department employees and those in custody.
