On January 14, 2025, State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) was elected as the chair of the Gwinnett County House Delegation. This marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first woman and the first Black woman to hold this position. Alongside her, State Representative Segun Adeyina (D-Grayson) was chosen as vice chair, while State Representative Arlene Becks (D-Norcross) took on the role of secretary.

Rep. Clark expressed her enthusiasm for her new role by stating, “I look forward to working with all of my colleagues in the Gwinnett delegation to do what’s best for Gwinnett County.” She further added, “It is my honor to serve, and I am committed to ensuring that the voices of our diverse community are heard and represented in the Georgia House.”

The Gwinnett County House Delegation comprises state lawmakers who represent Gwinnett County at the Georgia State Capitol. Their responsibilities include addressing residents' needs and concerns, collaborating on policy initiatives, and advocating for county interests in state legislation.
