The Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments has appointed State Representative Gary Richardson (R-Evans) as Vice Chairman of the House Public and Community Health Committee.

"Thank you, Speaker Burns and the Committee on Assignments, for appointing me to serve in these capacities," said Rep. Richardson. "I am passionate about public health and public safety, as both seek to protect Georgians’ well-being and sense of security. I look forward to the positive impact that our work in these committees will make on the citizens of our great state."

The House Committee on Assignments is chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) and is responsible for making all committee assignments for members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

The House Public and Community Health Committee focuses on initiatives related to public and community health to ensure quality healthcare for all residents of Georgia.
