State Representative Imani Barnes from Tucker has announced a press conference to discuss the Healthy Start Act. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. It will take place at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.
The Healthy Start Act, known as House Bill 60, proposes that the State Board of Education should determine the required state funds to implement a no-cost school lunch program statewide. This initiative would be aimed at students who qualify under both federal and state guidelines.
Representative Barnes is expected to address these issues during the press conference.
