Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is launching an investigation following a video released yesterday allegedly showing ballot counting taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta after workers were told to leave.
"We have launched an investigation into why the monitors from the political parties left before scanning ended," Walter Jones, a spokesman for the Secretary of State’s elections division, told Just The News. "While it was their right to leave early, we want to make certain they were not misled into thinking scanning had stopped for the night when it had not."
President Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani both weighed in on the video tape.
Georgia GOP Chair David Shafer claims Fulton County election officials counted ballots in a secret after-hours session on Nov. 10.
“Let me repeat. Fulton County elections officials told the media and our observers that they were shutting down the tabulation center at State Farm Arena at 10:30 p.m. on election night only to continue counting ballots in secret until 1:00 a.m,” Shafer tweeted at the time.
Mail-in ballots are also getting a renewed look after an eyewitness reported seeing several suspicious ballots on Election Day.
