Georgia leaders to honor literacy achievements at state capitol

Senator Billy Hickman will join the Georgia Council on Literacy to celebrate Georgia Reads Day at the State Capitol on February 25. The event, scheduled for noon, will also feature Georgia Reads Coach Malcolm Mitchell and Representative Chris Erwin.

The gathering will honor the 2025 Georgia READBowl champions and recipients of the Georgia Reads Community Award. "This Event is Open to the Public," stated organizers.
